In case you haven't heard, Josh and I have moved to Rexburg, Idaho so that Josh can transfer to Provo and do the ROTC program there. (The one here is only for the national guard, and we don't want to get stuck in Idaho!! Also they aren't as well funded). So here we are!! We are loving school and our apartment, and the only downside is the awful weather. It was actually 20 below on Wednesday, and my eyelashes froze when I walked to school. I'll post that picture eventually, but for now, here are some new pictures of our apartment and us! Here a few different angles of our living room. I know it's been forever since I have last updated, and so there is a lot to say! I'm sure that everyone has already heard this, but Josh is joining the Marines, and so we have moved back to good old Medford, Oregon so he can begin training each week with them. He will then be leaving in September for boot camp, and won't be back until a few days before Christmas. During which time, I will be living back at home with my parents.

So the last few months have been crazy!!! We have travelled back and forth between Provo and Medford at least 5 times for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then the big move, and now here we are! :D Here are a bunch of pictures from the things that we have been doing lately...

This is a sweet cake that Jordyn, Josh's sister, bought for Josh's 22nd birthday on December 15th. Josh had a fun time cutting it in half with a butcher's knife :D

We had a surprise birthday party for Josh the Saturday before his Birthday. I was so excited because he was actually surprised!!! Usually, it's almost impossible to shock him at all. Camilla, Austin, and Jordyn all couldn't make it, but David, James, and our friends Melissa and Robert we able to come.

It snowed like crazy in Provo, and so I was really excited and took pictures. :) This is looking out our bedroom window, and the other one is off of our balcony.

Josh and I had a blast decorating it and feeling all festive. And yes, I know it's a bit crooked, but we loved it anyway!

I was trying to make snowflakes, and of course Josh began messing around and making various masks and glasses. He's funny that way :D

It was really nice one day in Provo, and so Josh and I went minature golfing and then got shakes.

We went on a walk one day, and decided to take pictures in front of the Provo Temple.

Okay, Josh decided to wait in line for a book signing for the newest Wheel of Time book. He waited from 6 am until midnight at the BYU bookstore so he could get the first copy sold in the USA and get it signed. It turned out that a few guys had camped out overnight, and so he only got the fourth copy. lol The line for the book signing was crazy long, and this pic only shows about a third of it.

Since Rober Jordan, the original author of the Wheel of Time series, died recently, an author named Branden Sanderson took over to finish the series, and so he was the one to sign the book for Josh. (I was actually there too, so I got to meet him as well!)

I had joined up with Josh later that day, and continued coming back and forth because I had classes and work and couldn't stay the whole time.

So that's basically what life has been like the last few months. Right now we are living in my parents upstairs spare room (sounds like paradise right? lol) until we can afford to rent an apartment of our own. Luckily, after Josh has finished all his training for the Marines, the military will pay for our housing, food, health care, dental care, and for movers to pack up for us, which will be amazing. But while we are waiting for September, life is going to be pretty difficult!

Hey everyone!

Here are some new pictures of what Josh and I have been up to lately. We rearranged our furniture, so our front room looks a lot bigger than it did. We also have added a wonderfully soft new bed to our home! Hooray for no more futon mattress! :D It's a king-sized bed, and we got it bran new for super cheap at a place here in Provo. We love it!

Weird story: I peeled too many potatoes, and so I placed the extra in a water-filled plastic bag so it wouldn't turn brown and gross. Well, our fridge is retarted, and food placed on the edges or back freeze. Therefore, when I opened the fridge the next day, half of the potato was frozen! (We have had a frozen egg too).

This was fun. Josh and I had a pumpkin carving contest with one of our neighbors, and here were our results. I am attempting to replicate the "scary" face on my pumpkin, while Josh is acting proud to show off his "Triforce" symbol from the game Zelda.

Hello Family! Sorry it's been such a long time since my last post. Things have been pretty busy here! But I have really good news! :D We finally got some real furniture!!! Hooray!! We got a free couch from Josh's cousin's husband's brother (and that is REALLY confusing, I know). Then we bought a TV stand thing from D.I for around 30 bucks, and then we spent some of our Target Gift Cards for a really nice coffee table (or Hot Chocolate table). Now we've put the futon mattress on the floor of our bedroom, and we have a really nice dresser in there that Jordyn cunningham gave us. She also gave us a desk for the spare bedroom. So things are actually looking homey! And, Josh and I have recently realized the disadvantages of living in an apartment complex. Sarah Schwarz is in town right now, and so she came and visited our apartment with her cousin. As everyone knows, Sarah and I are usually pretty loud when we are together. Me, Josh, Sarah, and her cousin all decided to play a card game when they came over around midnight (I didn't get off of work until 11:45) and eventually, voiced escalated, and laughter overcame us. Suddenly we heard a loud banging coming from the floor of our apartment, and we realized that the couple below was signaling us to shut up. Now it's really awkward whenever we see them! But, we are still happy to be here!!! I have finally started school, and it isn't so bad right now. It is challenging having to work and do homework, especially since I work so late, and I miss all of the time I used to have to spend with Josh, Camilla, David, Jordyn, and all the rest of Josh's family in the Provo area. But I know that eventually, things won't be so busy and we'll have more time! I love you all and miss you! I should be studying right now. :D Love, Carissa

Hello everyone, Welcome to Josh and Carissa's new blog! We are here at our new apartment in Provo, Utah enjoying life before school starts. I (Carissa) have my school schedule all ready for BYU, and Josh is getting all of his online classes in order, so we are super excited. Our apartment is nice and really close to campus. We are a little scarce on furniture, but we have a comfy futon to sleep on and plenty of games and food. All of our neighbors are really kind and helpful, and everyone in the ward is way nice. Sorry, I don't know how to work this blog thing, so this probably sounds really boring! Sorry guys. I would let Josh write it, but he would only put inappropriate things on here....so that's out of the question. :D Well, that's basically all I have to say...once I get the hang of this thing I'll write more and post pictures. We love you all, and hope that everything is going great in Oregon, California, or anywhere else everyone is!
